The Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics Universitas Indonesia has been actively involved in developing research atmosphere in Indonesia, and is amongst the leader in research activities. In accordance with its vision to be one of the best accounting program in Asia, Department of Accounting is now trying to expand the geographical scope of the activity by cooperating with international institutions. For this purpose, since 2007 the Accounting Department has been organizing conferences for students, educators, researchers, and practitioners both in Indonesia and worldwide, especially South East Asia. The conference facilitates the presentation and discussion of the latest research and scientific studies in the finance and accounting field, so that it will benefit the society especially users of financial statements.

From 2007 to 2010, The Accounting Department FEUI has held three International Accounting Conference and two Doctoral Colloquium. In 2011, The Accounting Department FEUI served as co-host for The 12th Asian Academic Accounting Association (AAAA) Annual Meeting in Bali, Indonesia. All conferences were a success to the Department with increasing number of participants from various countries over the years. 

This year's conference will be The 4th International International Conference of Accounting Department FEUI. Along with this conference, the Department will merge the Doctoral Colloquium into  a new research program called Accounting Students Research Forum (ASFR) which will facilitate both undergraduate and postgraduate students to share their research progress and interest.
